illegal immigration

Why? Why should we as Americans, trying to make a living and support our families , have to support and tolerate illegal immigrants? Really? Today we have so many people losing their jobs, their homes, their pride. And many people want us to pity and support the illegal immigrants. What part of illegal is so hard to understand. But we should worry about their feelings because they are human beings. So is my daughter. I have to support her. She was born in the United States. She is more important to me.

Now some little girl tells Michelle Obama, on Nationwide Television that her mother "does not have papers" and the Peruvian president is proud of her? You are kidding me. Now the immigration authorities are not going to pursue the matter or at least not deport them. So what we are saying is publicize that you are not here legally and you get to stay.

Maybe it is OK to allow that. We have fallen so far that we will kowtow to illegal immigrants. Let us just hand them the keys to the city. I am saddened by the state of affairs and disgusted by those people that want to say illegal immigration is OK.

Arizona may need to make some amendments but they are on the right track. At least someone is standing up for the United States. And a shout out for Alabama's candidate for Governor who wants drivers licence tests in English.

Health Care

I am amazed.

First let me acknowledge that I do not know all the issues and wording of the health initiative that seems to have divided so many people.

I don't get though why there are so many people against a health program. I guess maybe those that have insurance are afraid they will lose something. Or maybe it is all the business people upset because they will have to help their employees be healthy so that they can be better, more productive people.

As a veteran, I wish I did not have to go to the VA but that is all I can afford. This is even with insurance. But all you whiners are OK with that.

So how do many of the opponents to this qualify their position when there are so many that are hurting? We send money to other countries. We have liberal extremists that want to save the whales, or don't wear fur, or feed the hungry in Bangladesh or whatever tomorrows cause is but they refuse to support helping the human beings that work around them and feed them and clothe them.

HEY AMERICA. Stop worrying about the world and address America's issues. Once we get a better hold of things then let's work on other human issues.

Don't get me wrong. I love my pets. I do not support animal cruelty but where would we be without animal furs, or testing on animals to ensure something is safe or how it will harm us?

I will get off my soap box now just as you should.

How would you react to having a family member killed?

A simple question isn't it? I want you to really really think about this. If you are a parent, you have just lost your precious children. A person just ran into your car and killed them.

You will no longer hear their laughter. You can't look into their eyes, and see them smile. watch them get an a in school, their first kiss, learn to ride a bike. You miss Christmas and dressing up for Halloween. Let me change the perspective for a moment.

I think this must actually be more the truth. No more changing diapers. No buying shoes all the time, taking care of sick kids, dealing with calls from the school. No screaming and running around crazy in the store. No dealing with the pets. Why else would you be on the phone?

All this because someone was talking or texting on their Cell Phone. Does that make them thoughtless, or Murderers. Regardless, they have ruined your life. They have ruined your life, their family's life, created extensive costs that your taxes pay for.

So while you are driving down the road without a care in the world, feel free to pick up that phone and call someone. Start by calling the hospital, trhen the police department. And call your parents to tell them that you may be dead shortly, and to take care of what is left.

Needless to say, cell phones are great aren't they?

Common courtesy

I have come to a conclusion.

As I drive down the road, I see a great many people on the phone. I see people weaving in and out of traffic without a turn signal.

I walk through the grocery store and people stop and leave their carts in the middle of the isle. They let their kids run around.

Now, hold the door for them, speak with them, say please, and you will get a courteous response.

What is the problem here? Courtesy, in todays world, is primarily found in person. When there is no one to face, no one to see, courtesy is gone. When driving, I call it the fighter pilot syndrome.

This is when the fighter pilot is in a dogfight, he is shooting down the other plane. He generally does not see the person. In WW2 Pilots often mentioned how it was not as much a person as an enemy of target but they tell of the occasion when they saw the youth in the other plane and receognized a human.

This is what people in cars have. The other people on the road are just other cars. Since it is a car, why should people care? They do not think of their car as a weapon. Until someone is killed.

I hear people all the time talk about how sad it is that someone was killed or injured or nearly so because of someone on the phone while driving, then they go out and drive and talk.

Believe it or not people, you are not the onlyones in the world. If you want to take your time, or need a moment to think about what to buy, move out of the way. The world is moving past you. Let them go by. Move your cart to the side.

Show courtesy to other people. It is not just in person or to your friends. Control your kids, people do not want to be concerned or bothered by them. Get off the phone when you drive. Use a turn signal. Show respect and courtesy.
